a. The Meaning of Volume of Liquid Volume of liquid refers to the capacity of liquids in the containers. Capacity can be measured by using non standard units (more or less) and in standard units. The metric system used is millimeter (ml) and litter (l). An investigation amount of liquids can be done by pouring liquids between containers using different shapes and sizes. This exploration of capacity or volume of liquid involves manipulation of containers in various sizes. Pupils can either collect or purchase them for classroom activities. A cheap way to do the activities is sure to collect some containers like mineral water bottles, soft drink cans, and vases. They are all can be found around them. After the activity, teacher can display those collections of containers at the learning points for students to explore more.
